support us & Thanks

As a charity, YBS (Registered Charity No 1107179) depends upon the generosity of our Patrons and Friends. We receive no government funding. This generosity enables us to deliver the vital work we do in creating opportunities for students across the country to attend our courses which are of the highest standards, allowing students to carry on their dance education during the school holidays. The generous support also allows us to financially support students through our Scholarships and Bursaries. No talented young dancer should miss out on the chance to attend due to lack of financial mean and our Scholarships and Bursaries enable us to make sure students from all backgrounds have the opportunity to experience our world renowned courses.

help us continue & extend our work

*Please note that if you would like to donate specifically for student scholarship this is to be made clear on the donation form.

By donating £650 or more, you will become a “Patron of YBS”. You will first and foremost be supporting our work. In addition, we can offer some exciting benefits – necessarily modest: we are only a small charity!

Patrons will receive:

  • A Newsletter twice a year by email only containing news and views from the Director, students and teachers.

  • A chance of priority booking to watch students in class during the Summer School

  • A chance to attend a Reception for Friends watching class on one evening during the Summer School after class and to meet teachers and students

  • A chance to attend our informal performance at the end of each residential week

For Patrons funding a Scholarship or Bursary, you will receive information about the student awarded a Scholarship or Bursary and what attending the Summer School means to them. Patrons will not be able to enter into direct communication with students whom they sponsor.
